Dear Lions,
As you know we are faced with a lot of unknowns at the moment, and I don’t know where it’s going to end. Presidents, I hope you will check on all your club members to ensure that they are ok, but if confined help them in any way you can. It is important to keep the lines of communication open, and while you may not be holding meetings face to face for some, the use of email, phone, Facebook page (if you have one) are all good tools to use to stay in touch.
Our current situation is unprecedented as far as Lions go, as we may not be able to, or be allowed, to help our community as much as we are used to, however, some might find that there still may be a need for this to happen. BUT we need to look after ourselves and our members as well. We should continue to practice social distancing, keep up our own good hygiene, and above all else, use a common-sense approach.
The rules are changing all the time, all you can do is watch the media and do as directed at this stage.
We in Cabinet will keep you informed and updated as much as possible and if you have any queries do not hesitate to get in touch with myself or Cabinet Secretary Yvonne Bradford.
I have been talking with my counterpart in C2 DG Tom Kimber and we will be working together to help both Districts get through this, at this stage all I can do is to tell you to Keep Safe and as part of the Lions Family look after one another.
Regards, Kevin Masters
