On Saturday, 28 June 2025, Lions and partners from across District 201C1 came together in Port Augusta to mark a significant moment in the Lions calendar – the District Governor’s Handover.
The afternoon was filled with camaraderie and celebration as outgoing District Governor Steve Fawcett reflected on his 2024–2025 year of leadership. In his address, DG Steve spoke candidly about the year’s challenges, the resilience of clubs, membership and the many achievements that demonstrated the strength and heart of Lions in our district. From community service initiatives and fundraising efforts to innovative new projects, the district had much to be proud of.
DG Steve also took the opportunity to honour a number of Lions and clubs who had gone above and beyond in their service. These acknowledgements highlighted the passion, dedication and hard work that drives everything we do as Lions.
